Privacy Policy

RallyATX (“we,” “us”) is a tennis community app for the Austin area. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. If you have questions, contact funkeycolors@gmail.com.

Information we collect

• Account information: email address, display name, profile photo, gender, and city when you create or edit your profile.
• Authentication data: if you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive information those providers share with us (such as email and name) according to your choices with that provider.
• Contact information: phone number if you add one to your profile. When you accept a match, your phone number may be shared with your opponent so you can coordinate play.
• Match and gameplay data: proposals, scheduled matches, scores, league standings, tournament brackets, ratings, badges, and related activity in the app.
• Location: approximate device location when you allow it, used for local weather and nearby court context. We do not continuously track your location in the background.
• Device notifications: push notification tokens so we can send match and tournament updates.
• Usage and support data: information you send when you contact support or report another player.

How we use information

• Provide and operate the app (matching, scheduling, leagues, tournaments, ratings)
• Send notifications about matches, proposals, and tournaments
• Maintain safety, enforce rules, and handle disputes or reports
• Improve reliability and fix bugs

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the app:

• Other players: profile details, match information, standings, and contact details when a match is accepted.
• Service providers: Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, cloud functions, and push messaging), Apple Sign In, Google Sign In, Google Places (court search), and Open-Meteo (weather). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
• Legal and safety: if required by law or to protect users and the service.

Data retention and account deletion

We keep account and match data while your account is active and as needed to operate leagues, tournaments, and historical records.

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Settings → Delete account. Deleting removes your sign-in credentials, profile, email address, phone number, photos, and notifications, and cancels any pending proposals and hitting posts.

Completed matches, league standings, and tournament results are kept, with your display name, so the records of the players you competed against stay accurate. These retained records no longer include your email address, phone number, or profile photo.

Your choices

• Update profile information in the app
• Disable push notifications in iOS Settings
• Decline location permission (some features may be limited)
• Delete your account in the app under Profile → Settings → Delete account

Security

We use industry-standard protections, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on our backend. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children

RallyATX is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do.
